There is a certain hierarchy involved when you are in the market for these types of leads. Most of the following 7 will serve some type of purpose in your quest to sponsor more people into your network marketing business. Let’s look closer now at these lead types, starting with the cheapest first.

Number 1: “Penny” or “Bulk” Leads

If you want cheap, then you’ve got it! Generally you will be paying about 1 to 10 cents for these types of leads. They have been resold and resold so many times that most of the email addresses and or phone numbers have been changed due to over use. As you may imagine they are pretty worthless in terms of sponsoring people. Further more you will have to sift out tons of people who are only looking for “work” from home jobs, and not business opportunities

These penny leads are good for something though. They are fantastic for practice. If you are not used to being on the phone much, then this is exactly where you need to start. These kinds of leads will help you form a thick skin when it comes to calling your leads. If your posture on the phone can survive these types of phone calls then this trait alone will practically guarantee your network marketing success.

Number 2: Mid Range Leads

The price falls somewhere between 15 cents to 75 cents with these leads. The price and quality generally depends on how many times they have been resold. These network marketing leads are not worth the cost just for practice and you will still find your sponsoring ratios to be pretty bad. These are simply not recommended.

Number 3: High Range Leads

These leads will cost about 1 to 3 dollars per lead. These may have been resold but only 3 or 4 times each. Because most people never call their leads, this gives you a high chance that you will be the first person your prospect hears from. If you are good on the phone, have a rock solid posture and can spend 3 or 4 focused hours on the phone each day then you can absolutely build a business from these types of leads. Again you will have to sift these leads but it is better than your first two choices by far.

Number 4: Exclusive Leads

These kinds of network marketing leads will cost you around 3 to 5 bucks per lead. You can often place custom fields in the opt in forms that a few MLM lead companies will provide you with. Your sponsoring ratio will be quite high but remember, most of these leads are not ready for a business. Some are ready, but at 5 bucks a lead it may not be worth it spend your time sifting these leads when you could go for slightly cheaper leads instead.

Number 5: Co Op Leads

These leads cost anywhere between 2 to 7 bucks per lead. You buy into a lead generation page with about 8 to 12 other marketers. Your own personal video or ad will run on that page in a rotation for the next month. If you are good on the phone then these types of leads are highly recommended. It may be difficult to find these co ops, but if you can network with enough big time MLM leaders to find a spot then take it quick.

Number 6: Self Generated Off Line

This is how many effective marketers created massive downlines in the 80’s and 90’s. This method still works wonders today. You take out a news paper or magazine ad for the start of your lead funnel. In this process you collect their information and follow up. This method is highly recommended if you are good at sales copywriting and/or office or secretarial type work.

Number 7: Self Generated Online Leads

If you like SEO and blogs then pay close attention. This method is by far the number one best way to generate high quality network marketing leads for your business.
